To me, tea and a good read are perfect partners: they are not pushy, they let you linger, they don’t interfere with your day, and they don’t require an answer, just an open mind. The silence found while reading is a rich type of quiet, and perhaps that is what makes it precious. I love to read for the love of reading and not to figure out what an author is trying to say or why. Probably all those years of literary analysis in grad school makes the joy a reading for pleasure a TRUE PLEASURE. This is perhaps a very personal way of reading for oneself and not necessarily to prove a point later with anyone else, but it is an activity that keeps my mind engaged and filled with new takes on this old world. And tea, well we know what that does for the soul.
