Wow. THis reminds me of my dad when her would get in his “time to use up all the leftovers” mode of food prep. Morning oatmeal would suddenly include broccoli and bits of meat with dried fruit and jam. Or a soup would have re-fried beans, beets, clamato juice and leftover cooked vegetables. His theory: “It all gets mixed up in your stomach anyway.” Well…

So I started with two very tempting ingredients: vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce made by our local and incredible chocolate maker: Lula’s!
