“Reinterpret your favorite childhood story.”

Wow! How many choices do I get? Ferdinand? Eloise? The Rabbit’s Wedding, The Three Robbers?

I went with Ant and Bee and Kind Dog, one of a series of thirteen books, with this title as number 8. British author Angela Banner published the first Ant and Bee in 1950. The two inseparable friends, Ant and Bee, have many adventures, but the cunning of the books are the reading acquisition tools hidden within. The books are alphabetical with objects and places appearing in red, following the ABCs. This device makes for some hilarious odd ball narrative twists. The introduction of Kind Dog was always very important to me, as we grew up with a dog in the house from as far back as I can remember.
