two trees

Do you know how stuff haunts you? There it is, lying around in boxes and drawers smoldering and daring you to get rid of it all. Our house is filled with 4 generations worth of stuff, much of which cannot be removed without a global summit meeting. But I figured I could recycle about a decade’s worth of old paid bills, medical insurance update papers, etc. The ghost tree is made of two poles from an old rake and an extension duster, crumbled up papers along the armature, and wrapped in white duct tape. Branches were from fallen pine branches which litter the entire property. I like the ghost tree’s shape against the dark trunk of the huge pine and that the paper documents go back to become their source.
